Pirate Life Theatre is a children’s theatre company that creates family friendly pirate-themed shows in Toronto, Ottawa, Barrie, and Hamilton. We encourage our patrons to live a pirate’s life by presenting interactive theatrical productions in which you can join our crew and help us search for treasure, fire the water cannons, witness a sword fight and more! Our production is part theatre, part cruise, and all adventure!

SHIPS, SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY

We sail rain or shine, so please dress appropriately. In the event of dangerous weather, the Captain will make a judgement call the morning of and if necessary reschedule the departures at no added cost to you.

Our vessels are high stability pontoon boats with high walls (around 3ft) that do not require lifejackets or PFDs to be worn while on board.
We do not generally recommend passengers wear a lifejacket or PFD onboard, but we are happy to provide them at your request as our ships are outfitted with 45 adult lifejackets and 45 child lifejackets in case of emergency.

Yes, there is space to sit on all of our ships, however seating is limited. Feel free to use our benches to rest your weary sea- and peg-legs.

We have a maximum capacity of 40 guests, as well as 1 captain and 2 crew members. If your group is larger than 40 we can accommodate you with several departures and more on shore entertainment.

All our ships are wheelchair accessible using our gangplanks. The door to the ship is 42 inches wide.

Service animals are always permitted aboard our ship.
CHILDREN’S THEATRE ADVENTURE

Our daytime children's theatre show is ideal for ages 3-12. But of course, true pirates can be of any age!
Older crews may be interested in our escape games or sunset cruises.

Our adventures are 1.5 hours, including 30 minutes of onshore activities including face paint, pirate names and games, and a 1 hour cruise aboard the vessel.

Please plan to arrive on site at your ticket time, as our crew may not be able to accommodate you before then. If you arrive early, we recommend that you use the washroom before the adventure begins. If you’re running late, no worries! Our ship doesn’t leave until half an hour after your scheduled departure.

Costumes are highly encouraged! You may bring your own or buy from us. We provide a video upon booking that will help you raid your closet for gear, or you are welcome to purchase a costume package from us which can include an eye patch, bandana, hat, and sword.

Our ship is armed with water cannons pointed away from the boat, so you may get sprinkled on but not splashed – unless you want to, of course!
BIRTHDAYS

All birthday pirates sailing with us receive a Pirate Life pin upon arrival, special treatment from our crew, a pirate necklace during the show, and a birthday song!
We are happy to organise loot bags for your crew at an additional cost. We do not provide food or drinks

You are welcome to bring non-alcoholic drinks, however food is only permitted aboard our ships during private charters. Our show is so action packed that you will not have time to eat unless you book additional cruising time!
We recommend that food be enjoyed before or after your adventure at our picnic tables or one of the nearby parks. Please let us know if you intend to bring food so that we can help you prepare!

BOOKING

We highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Space on our ship is limited and our departures vary from day to day.
Tickets can be purchased online or over the phone at 1(800) 300-2732.

Tickets purchased are final sale, and we are not able to offer refunds. If you are unable to attend your show please let us know 48 hours before your cruise and we are happy to help you reschedule for another day or offer you a credit to return some time in the future. Your credit will remain valid for 1 calendar year from the date of your cancelled booking.

Yes, you will be charged even if you do not attend. Our tickets are limited and when you make a reservation we reserve spots for you and refuse entry to others. Please contact us as soon as possible if you will not be able to attend your scheduled adventure.

Yes! Even though children 3 and under sail free with us, they need to be included in your reservation.
Our ship's capacity is 40 souls, including children and infants. We are unable to accommodate additional guests, so please ensure you have booked the correct amount of tickets.

We do not allow children under the age of 16 to sail without adult supervision. For larger groups we require a ratio of at least one adult for every nine children.

A 50% deposit is required for large reservations. All deposits are non-refundable.

Our prices are the same for all guests unless they are aged 3 or younger in which case they sail for free!

Unlimited adventures at all our locations all summer! Our season pass allows you to sail as many times as you want with us for the season.

All purchases come with a 7% service fee. This service fee covers the costs that major credit cards charge on all transactions.
