“We’ve completed the opening leg of our journey across the sea. Buoyed by blue water, our sail was swift and sure. Only one storm did we encounter but our navigator, Raphael “The Rap” Scallion, kept us on course. The poor man could barely see through his spectacles the rain was so thick! And yet we arrive with our sights upon the southern isles, a sweltering sun on our backs, and our mouths salivating at the thought of treasure.”

“Not even a week within these waters and I have seen more than what a landlubber might see in their lifetime! Sea turtles that broke the ocean’s surface, seaweed in their bills. Strange birds that darted around our ship and stole sips from our sailors' brew. And the jellyfish. Not one but a whole flock! If it were not for an old pirate ritual passed down to me, our ship surely would’ve been overrun and our fortunes spoiled.”

“Gold! Weeks of fruitless search and now a taste of plunder. From lifeboats we set upon the land expecting nothing but jungle and sand. What we found were miles of doubloons pushed to shore by the tide. On their faces a skull, carved as if to warn those with weak wills and unsettled stomachs. Bah! I have stared down the kraken; such a warning means little to me with the promise of such splendor.”

“I’ll make it plain to those barnacle breathed blaggards. When I set upon this journey and stored within the decks apples and bananas and all sorts of sweet fruit, I expected the crew to taste their nectar. But some think themselves too proud and have gone weeks without even a lick of an orange’s peel. Those bilge-sucking fools! From now on each must have at least a lime in the morning and a lemon at night. Otherwise they can show their pride to the plank!”
