Waterfront Muskoka Chair Murals
Pirate Life, a children’s Theatre is looking to bring 16 Muskoka chairs to life with your art! As part of our mandate to provide space and opportunity for local creatives, the chairs will be located outdoors on our dock near the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre at 635 Queen’s Quay West. The mural is not intended to function as an advertisement for Pirate Life, but we do request that the design be family-friendly.
About the Mural
We would like this piece to be your original work and represent our values: Play, Create and Imagine. We would like to engage with the community through your artistic vision. This is your canvas. Each artist will design and paint a set of 4 Muskoka Chairs, we have 16 chairs in total, thus 4 artists will be selected.

Waterfront Mural
Pirate Life, a children’s Theatre is looking to bring our storage container to life with your art! As part of our mandate to provide space and opportunity for local creatives, we are inviting local mural artists to submit original design concepts for our 20x8 foot storage container located outdoors at the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre at 627 Queen’s Quay West.
While our ship is only in the water from May-November, this container will remain onsite year round. The mural is not intended to function as an advertisement for Pirate Life, but we do request that the design be family-friendly
Designs could include an interactive component that passersby in the community could engage with (ex: picture backdrop, etc.)

We are a children’s theatre and arts and cultural hub that focuses on the idea of playing, creating and imagining together.

The container in it’s permanent location, On the left entrance to the community centre, On the right an opening to the water!
A closer view. The roll up door faces south, the opening on the right faces east. The south area will eventually be home to a farmers market.
Short term development of Eireann Quay will involve a famers market area and long term development plans include a TBD project for the silos.
Arial Localization of the sea can south of the intersection of Bathurst and Queen’s Quay West.
